There are several that I can think of right off the top of my head. The number one reason being that you don't need a separate set of prescription lenses in order to protect your eyes from the sun. Today's contact lenses can be left in for up to a month, they can be disposable, they can change color from day to day to day, or even have bifocal lenses or special lenses developed to treat astigmatisms.
The final reason that I'm a contact lenses convert is the fact that I can order them and have them shipped to my door. I don't have to leave the house every month to pick them up. I don't have to stand in line and hope that my prescription is in and I don't have to worry about the price being different from month to month.
